Eight Aeros Alumnae Involved in PWHL Following Historic Inaugural Draft Day
Boston's Head Coach, Plus 3 Montreal,  2 Boston and 2 New York Player Selections

The Toronto Aeros are exceptionally proud of our 8 Aeros Program alumnae selected to play in the new professional women's hockey league following the PWHL Draft on Monday, September 18.  Notably, Courtney Birchard (D, 1989) was also recently named as Boston's Head Coach, and was highly involved in the draft process.

Montreal's roster will feature initial free agent signing Laura Stacey (F, 1994).  First round draft selection Erin Ambrose (D, 1994) went #6 overall. Claire Dalton (F, 2000) was selected by Montreal #67 overall. 
 
Boston's roster will include coach Courtney Birchard 2nd round selection Sophie Jaques (D, 2000) drafted #10 overall, and Emma Buckles (D, 1999), who was #75 overall.
 
New York drafted 3rd round selection Jessie Eldridge (F, 1997), #16 overall, and Jill Saulnier (F, 1992), #40 overall.
 
Courtney Birchard, Erin Ambrose, Claire Dalton, Sophie Jaques, Emma Buckles and Jessie Eldridge all graduated from our program as 3+ Year Aero honorees.  Laura Stacey and Jill Saulnier each played two seasons with the Junior Aeros.
 
Congratulations also to former Aeros Loren Gabel (F, 1997), Boston's #22 overall pick and Daryl Watts, drafted by Ottawa #32 overall.
